2016 FAN OUT
FAN OUT is a group exhibition curated by designer Sabine Poupinel. The exhibition takes place during Copenhagen Fashion Week and features a myriad of fashion, art, talks, performances, music, image and sound. I am responsible for the overall strategy and is advisor to Sabine.
2015 – Scenario Magazine
Scenario Magazine is an award-winning magazin on trends, ideas, visions, and possible futures. It was established in 2010 and is developed by futurists from the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies. I am the head of the SCEANARIO Advisory Board whose role it is to provide management feedback and be a sparring partner for the Editor-in-chief in the overall development of the magazine. The board has collectively developed the event format “Six Bells” which I have co-hosted twice alongside Editor-in-Chief Morten Grønborg.
2013 – 2015 ‘Krigen’
Krigen (A War) is an Oscar nominated Danish feature film directed by Tobias Lindholm and produced by René Ezra and Tomas Radoor at Nordisk Film, that premiered in the fall of 2015. I was the Art Director for the films visual identity, directed behind-the-scenes video, developed and executed social media strategy and fashion merch collab.
2013 – 2015 ‘9. April’
9. April is a Danish feature film directed by Roni Ezra and produced by René Ezra and Tomas Radoor at Nordisk Film, that premiered in the spring of 2015. I was the Art Director for the films visual identity, directed behind-the-scenes video, developed and executed social media strategy and special screening events.
2014 ‘Gravity’ music video
Trentemøller’s single Gravity (feat. Jana Hunter of Lower Dens) features a video that explores new collaborative territory. The video is set on the intricate, myriad freeways of LA and stars actor Oscar Isaac as “Mr Carpool”. The video is a creative collaboration, dreamed up by directors Tue Walin Storm and Elvira Lind, that lingers somewhere between fiction and documentary. After shooting in LA the footage was edited in a small wooden cabin in Denmark by Mette Ohlendorff & Mathias Nyholm Schmidt.
TED is a global nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. TEDxCopenhagen is the Danish edition of TED for which I was the Artistic Director, Co-Organizer and part of the TEDxCopenhagen board.
2012 – 2013 ‘Nordvest’
‘Nordvest’ is a Danish feature film directed by Michael Noer and produced by René Ezra and Tomas Radoor at Nordisk Film, set to premiere in the spring of 2013. I am creating the ‘alternative launch strategy’ for the films premier which includes development and execution of a behind-the-scenes web documentary, a social media strategy, guerilla marketing, visual identity and soundtrack strategy.
2011 – 2012 ‘Kapringen’
‘Kapringen’ is a Danish feature film directed by Tobias Lindholm and produced by René Ezra and Tomas Radoor at Nordisk Film, set to premiere in the fall of 2012. I am creating the ‘alternative launch strategy’ for the films premier which includes development and execution of a behind-the-scenes web documentary – partly shot in Kenya and partly in Denmark, a social media strategy, guerilla marketing, visual identity and galla premiere event.
2011 – 2012 Rebel Academy
Rebel Academy is a project that ArtRebels is developing in collaboration with the governmental institution the Danish Business Authority. Rebel Academy strive to be the world’s leading community for creative and cultural entrepreneurs. It is an incubation platform for projects and collaborations, a place to connect to other businesses and individuals. I have created part of the concept and strategy for the project and was a member of the Rebel Academy Mentor Board.
2011 – 2012 AOK Byen Bedste Awards
For the past ten years Berlingske Media have given out the esteemed awards for ‘Copenhagens Best’ within numerous categories. I lead the concept development, project management and execution of the event as well as producing and directing the show, for their first attempt at hosting a large scale award show at Bremen in 2011.
2011 ArtRebels & Canon Photo Contest
A Photo Contest concept in collaboration with Canon that focused on up-and-coming photographers and gave them the opportunity to have their work judged by a very prestigious jury consisting of legends such as photographer Søren Solkjær Starbird and Henrik Bülow. More than 700 photographs were submitted, and 2000 people voted via Facebook ‘Likes’ between the finalists the jury picked. The winner won a Canon 7D and the top ten got to exhibit at the gallery Vess.
2011 Art Busses
I worked with The City of Copenhagen conducting an art project as an element in their ‘Byens Net’ branding campaign, that highlights the positive outcome – a better collective traffic network – of the current Metro construction situation. I developed a concept that collaborated with The Danish Design School where I taught a week long workshop with two artists and a group of post-graduate students. The workshop resulted in two amazing artworks (bus size!) that were featured on a 1A and a 3A bus during four weeks. The projects also includes social media exposure and the production of a viral process video. Furthermore, the projects has been very well received and submitted for an international marketing award by The City of Copenhagen. Watch video here.
R is the title of director-duo Tobias Lindholm & Michael Noer’s fiction-film debut. The film won eight ‘Robert’, two ‘Bodil’ and numerous other awards. I lead the development and execution of the ‘Alternative Launch’ incl Viral concept, Social media strategy, Pre-screening tour, Guerilla Marketing and Galla Premier event concept. This was the first time The Danish Filminstitute funded launch-activities beyond traditional media.
2009 – 2010 Hummel
With hummel ArtRebels conducted a brand-fit collaboration, including graphic design, illustration, product development and fashion design, product placement and sponsorship strategy, events, video production and CSR strategy and implementation. For this project I was involved in the overall collaboration concept and lead the work on a blog- and online-strategy, and a Copenhagen Fashion Week event at Jolene’s in Kødbyen incl the production of event scenography, visuals and press-strategy.
2009 Charlottenborg Summer Exhibition
For Kunsthal Charlottenborgs 2009 Summer Exhibit I was in charge of the overall concept and management for the ArtRebels contribution: A complex installation, mixing a variety of media, from sand and wood, to video projection, kites, a giant sand sculpture and a hovering Morris Minor.
2009 Pumpehuset ArtRebels Event
In 2009 we did an extensive business development of ArtRebels resulting in an essential strategic re-design of the company structure. To celebrate the new era we hosted a large event at Pumpehuset. Watch video here.
Penguin Army 2008 – 2009
The Penguin Army (Index Award 2009 finalist) was an online community that created awareness among young people and a call to action in the fight against global warming. As the result of strategic, social, and communication design Penguin Army aimed to prove that being green does not have to be boring. The community promoted a fun, green lifestyle on its blog, by hosting CO2-neutral parties, giving away eco-friendly tools, and making exciting happenings and street art. ArtRebels (lead by me) collaborated with Penguin Army on everything from website development, social media solutions, Roskilde Festival activities, guerilla marketing, video production and to event concepts and online strategies.
2008 Jørgen Leth Website & Blog
With a career spanning more than 40 years, 40 films, 20 books, 2 albums and numerous other creative adventures, documenting the work of Jørgen Leth was a large undertaking, but together with director Elvira Lind, we managed to create a virtual space for Jørgen’s amazing track record. I also had the daunting task of introducing Jørgen to the blogosphere, please enjoy his wonderful online anecdotes.
2007 – 2011 TrailerPark Festival
TrailerPark Festival is an annual music and arts festival in Copenhagen with a emphasis on amazing musical performances and a spectacular scenography that stretches far beyond the stage and fills every corner of the space. At TrailerPark my responsibilities have varied over the years, but centers around the overall communication incl promotion, PR, website development, blog strategy, blogger and photographer booker, process documentation, guerilla marketing and producing more than twenty videos during the festival in 2011.
2006 – 2012 ArtRebels Online
The online presence of ArtRebels included the global webshop, the international blog, the TrailerPark Festival site, Facebook groups, Twitter profiles, Flickr and Vimeo accounts, newsletters and the magazine ArtRebels Times. The development of ArtRebels.com is an ongoing and ever-changing process. I was particularly involved with the overall strategy of our online universe especially the social media aspects and I was the founder and editor-in-chief of the blog.
2006 Virtual Spaces of Identity
Virtual Spaces of Identity was a project about virtual preservation in the art scene in DUMBO in New York. I created the project as my thesis during the final semester of my Master degree – in a pre-Facebook and Twitter world. The project aimed at examining how virtuality can be used to map and document tangible and intangible cultural heritage and preserve a spreading community online.
The Art Bus project I created in collaboration with The Danish Design School and The City of Copenhagen.
